SUMMARY: Perform personnel functions and duties in support of classified human resources operations. Provide technical and operational support to the human resources department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Communicate with new hires for completion of required human resources paperwork. Maintain personnel records and communicate position requirements with new hires. Review files and initiate salary schedule movement for employees recommend salary schedule movement for new and continuing employees. Coordinate track and maintain staff transfers leave of absence personal leave and tuition reimbursement. Verify and followup with other districts regarding new employees previous employment and experience. Communicate with principals and administrators regarding applicants and required procedures. Calculate staff educational credits and experience. Prepare and issue classified reasonable assurances. Manage and update the absence management program and safeschools program. Electronically post open positions and assist applicants administrators and staff with the application process. Process and manage subsitutes. Communicate with employees human resource questions. Assist with union dues. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduation or equivalent; AA degree or higher preferred. Three or more years of office experience. Proven ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner. Experience with computers Google docs and Excel; familiarity with and ability to learn multiple software programs. Ability to maintain confidentiality of personnel matters and records. Ability to collaborate with a team and communicate in a friendly positive and professional manner. Ability to work with constant interruptions multitask meet deadlines and be professional. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and produce quality work. Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this position.
