Job Description

Job Title:Account Manager Advisor Pay Information:NonExempt $55000 $65000 per yearLocation:Remote first work environment with occasional travel and in office meetings.

How the Account Manager Advisor contributes:
  • Responds to telephone calls and written requests regarding coverage questions premiums eligibility rates account status claims billing policy changes and benefits as needed to maintain service objectives.
  • Maintains detailed records of insurance transactions with appropriate company database.
  • Sells all product lines.
  • Becomes a product expert for all coverage lines for P&C and L&H.
  • Educates plans and supports members to help them cover all practice related insurance risks.
  • Consults with members to identify risk and exposure advise on the proper values for the members assets and then recommends solutions to manage the members risk and exposure.
  • Acts as a liaison between the member and other departments by gathering and passing underwriting information about the member.
  • Effectively works with interdependent departments and outside carriers to efficiently process application submissions.
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems and disputes in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provides a high level of service to CDA members and insurance clients.
  • Conducts outbound calls as necessary to service members.
  • Works well within a cohesive team to achieve department objectives.
  • Responds to and handles escalated/complex service issues for all lines of business.
  • Cross Sells all appropriate product lines including referrals to Health Care Team.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Active P&C and Life & Health agent licenses (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire)
  • Must have the ability to read analyze and interpret policies procedures and regulations.
  • Proficient computer skills including Excel Word and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years experience in the insurance field.
  • Bachelors degree in business or related field recommended or equivalent experience.
  • Sales or Account Manager experience in the commercial insurance field.
  • Strong problemsolving skills in response to escalated/complex service issues for all lines of business.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess needs present recommendations for coverages and products and effective at closing sales and other transactions.
  • Ability to manage a large volume of inbound and outbound calls track and document follow up communication and deliver premier customer service.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of P&C and L&H insurance policies and coverages to assess needs and make recommendations on coverage.
  • Ability to operate independently exercising good judgement and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude motivated and a passion for helping people.

  • Frequently maintains a stationary position.
  • Occasional overnight travel several times annually at organizational events.
