Principal Duties and Responsibilities: - Obtains bagging instructions including quantity proper bin lot number and special instructions. Uses forklift to obtain bags and wrapping materials.
- Set up pneumatic conveying system to feed all calcine/treated clay baggers
- Operates the treated clay process including # 8 Small Bagger & # 9 Bulk Bagger
- Understands different types of chemicals used in the treated clay process
- Understands proper chemical concentration and treatment levels
- Understands function of weight belt turbulizer and Bepex grinder
- Operates # 5 Automated Bagging Machine
- Operates # 7 Bulk bagger and # 14 Small Bagger
- Manually loads bags onto pallets when required
- Marks bags with lot number.
- Weighs each loaded pallet and records on loadout sheet
- Wraps pallets and moves them to warehouse.
- Stacks pallets in designated areas using forklift.
- Checks weight of several bags during operations.
- Adjusts Bagger mechanisms if necessary to meet specifications.
- Maintains work area in a clean and safe condition.
- Operates spot truck to move containers to be loaded
- Utilizes a fork lift to store material in the warehouse and to load containers
- Assures all parameter sheets work orders loading forms etc are filled out completely and legibly
- Works with team members and maintenance to maintain bagging machines and production rates
- Maintains all packaging assuring safety quality and customer satisfaction

- Required to participate in regularly scheduled safety meetings to meet team objectives.
- Must understand and comply with Personal Protective Equipment requirements for work area.
- Accepts and performs delegated tasks including: lead safety meetings housekeeping inspections completing forms etc.
Working Conditions:
- Must work rotating shifts and may be required to work overtime.
- Works mostly in the plant environment works indoors and outdoors and is exposed to seasonal temperature variations.
- Works around machinery and moving equipment and frequently exposed to noise vibrations chemicals dust fumes and slippery conditions.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently exerts up to 55 lbs. of force to push pull or lift objects.
- Required to lift and handle an average of 55 lb. bags in repetitive motion on a daily basis.
- Requires significant standing walking and climbing
Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to read and comprehend work orders loading forms work instructions safety manuals and material safety data sheets.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to team goals and objectives.
- Must possess basic computer skills to utilize Oracle Tabware SharePoint and to enter process parameters.
