We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide care for hospice patients in Thurston County WA and surrounding areas. Care will be provided in diverse settings including private homes assisted living communities and skilled nursing facilities.

Job Summary:
The Hospice CNA provides essential care and support to patients and families. The CNA helps ensure comfort dignity and quality of life for hospice patients by assisting with daily living activities monitoring changes in condition and supporting families during a difficult and meaningful time.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with personal care including bathing grooming dressing and toileting.
- Support mobility transfers and positioning to ensure comfort and prevent skin breakdown.
- Aid with feeding and hydration monitoring intake as needed.
- Observe and promptly report changes in condition to the care team.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and families.
- Follow individualized care plans to ensure patient needs are met.
- Offer respite care by providing coverage and support to family caregivers.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Washington Stateapproved hospice aide training program.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Experience: Preferred at least one years experience in hospice home health or longterm care settings. Familiarity with endoflife care principles infection control and safety protocols.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately. Physically capable of assisting with mobility lifting bending and patient transfers.

Compensation: $22.00 $26.50 per hour depending on experience.
