Job Description
We are looking for passionate disability support workers who take a personcentered approach when supporting people with disability to support a new client settle into their new home in Launceston.
In this role you will be providing active support to clients within their home and their community to develop skills independence and friendships.
You will be supporting and encouraging our clients to participate in a range of daytoday activities based on their hobbies interests and goals set within their NDIS support plans.
The role can be incredibly rewarding as you are an integral part of their journey towards Better Days Every Day.
Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:
Essential:
- Minimum of 3 shifts a week availability. The roster includes a range of shifts including sleepovers and active nights.
- Experience providing support to others: Disability Aged Care Community or Allied Health
- Intermediate computer skills (ie: using Microsoft Outlook documentation in a client management tool/CRM Carelink ).
- Right to work in Australia
- NDIS Workers Screening Check / willingness to obtain
- Valid First Aid & CPR
Highly regarded and desirable:
- A relevant qualification in Disability Individual Support Allied Health Mental Health or working towards it.
- Auslan skills or a willingness to learn
