The University of Miami UHealth Department of Clinical Operations has an exciting opportunity for a Director Clinical Program at Sylvester Medical Office Building in Miami. The incumbent develops plans and coordinates the administrative activities of the assigned facilities. In addition the Director Clinical Program plans manages and promotes all education and outreach activities including classes seminars conferences support groups and special events. Plans and executes community relations strategies and tactics that pertain to expanding outreach for assigned area patients and their families to increase patient awareness and support.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Administers the daytoday operations of the center and functions as the primary point of contact for administrative issues.
Leads the development and execution of initiatives in alignment with the centers objectives to provide information education counseling guidance support and resources.
Collaborates with senior administrators to solicit support for these initiatives.
Develops initiatives to provide stateoftheart patient centered resources.
Works collaboratively with other staff members to effectively guide families in utilizing the center while emphasizing a team approach to treatment training evaluation and followup.
Develops and executes mentoring programs that foster collaborative and meaningful relationships between past and current patients and their families.
Collaborates with departmental liaison in the development of content for newsletters donor appeals direct mail campaigns websites emails blogs online postings and other publications.
Maintains open and regular communication with department leadership in all areas related to center activity operational plans and budgetary expenditures.
Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

Bachelors degree in relevant field

Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Lean Six Sigma Certification within one year of hire.

Department Specific Functions
Integrative Supportive Care Responsibilities
Design implement and manage integrative cancer supportive care services tailored for oncology patients across the care continuum (pretreatment active treatment survivorship and palliative care) in collaboration with Psychology lead provider and direct supervisor.
Assure appropriate coverage and continued operations of integrative cancer supportive care programs.
Develop and monitor clinic templates and utilization and determine appropriate staffing and access optimization.
Patient Assessment & Personalized Planning.
Assure and perform periodic audits on patient assessments/documentation for all integrative cancer support staff in collaboration with subject matter experts.
Education & Counseling
Develop and Plan for educational materials flyers classes or workshops for patients staff and the community.
Support requests from hospital staff and external partners for educational talks.
Team Leadership & Staff Development
Provide leadership and mentorship to staff.
Organize regular interdisciplinary team and task force meetings to discuss patient progress barriers to care and opportunities for program improvement.
Support continuing education and competency development for all team members.
Quality Improvement & Outcomes Tracking
Lead quality improvement initiatives based on data analysis and stakeholder feedback.
Participate in or support research initiatives related to cancer supportive care and survivorship in collaboration with the Cancer Supportive Care and Survivorship subject matter experts.
Administrative Duties
Oversee operational budgets external contracts/partnerships/agreements grant applications and resource allocation in collaboration with direct supervisor.
Maintain documentation and compliance with institutional policies and accreditation standards.
Participate in the related hospital committees when applicable.
Coordinate community partnerships and outreach programs to promote supportive oncology care.
Report to direct supervisor monthly in regards to programming potential programming and other staff related concerns.
Provide strategic leadership and daily oversight of cancer support staff to ensure highquality patientcentered care.
Assess program needs and coordinate appropriate staffing levels to meet clinical demand across the oncology service line.
Conduct regular performance evaluations with clear metrics constructive feedback and individualized professional development goals.
Assure staff maintain or obtain appropriate specialty certifications.
Oversee onboarding and orientation processes for new hires ensuring competency in oncologyspecific protocols and interdisciplinary workflows.
Lead recruitment and hiring efforts including candidate screening interviews and selection.
Identify performance concerns and implement structured remediation plans including coaching monitoring and formal documentation as needed.
Maintain data and report out monthly to Cancer Supportive Care and Survivorship Program Leaders.
