Job Description
Montecatini is located in the beautiful Carlsbad California is known as a pioneer in the treatment of eating disorders. Established in 1991 Montecatinis four residences offer a homelike setting for residential treatment and our day and intensive outpatient treatment is located a short drive away conveniently located near I5 for easy access. At all our levels of care we strive to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere through scenic and peaceful surroundings that enhances our individualized treatment programming.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Plan coordinate or direct purchasing with approved vendors food planning preparation and serving.
- Maintenance of sanitary standards in the preparation areas kitchen serving and dining areas of the facility.
- Coordination with Dietitian or Director of Food & Nutrition Services leadership to plan menus that are varied nutritionally balanced and appetizing.
- Review plan menus and prepare projected menu plans.
- Interpret recipes and proper portion control in accordance with approved policy or clinical direction.
- Provide staff management including hiring development training performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
- Analyze food costs and assist with departmental budget issues.
- Orient train and coach team members on operational guidelines organizational policies and procedures.
- Organize food in 5 locations fridge pantries and freezers which includes restocking and counting inventory.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelors degree in Food Service Management Human Nutrition or related field preferred.
- Four of more years experience in food services role with 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity in food services.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification where required by the state and facility.
Compensation for roles at Montecatini varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location role skill set and level of required by local law Montecatini provides a reasonable hourly range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California as set forth below.

California: $35.00$37.00 per hour
