Job Duties
The Virginia Retirement System (VRS) is seeking a skilled and motivated ERP Developerwith demonstrated Workday experience to join our dynamic team! In this role you will ensure the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution deployed as a Software as a Service (SaaS). Youll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing ERP functionalities integrating thirdparty products and supporting related interfaces and solutions.
Additionally the ERP Developer will support and maintain other SaaS solutions deployed on Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
Essential tasks include but are not limited to:
Owns the technical components of the ERP application development lifecycle management.
Creates and maintains complex integrations and interfaces between ERP and other applications.
Builds and maintains APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) for seamless integration with other systems.
Supports and maintains other SaaS solutions deployed on Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
Analyzes business needs and translate them into technical specifications develop test and deploy changes.
Collaborates with crossfunctional teams including HR Finance IT and external vendors to gather requirements and design solutions.
Oversees and manages ERP related related projects ensuring timely delivery and quality.
Provides technical support for troubleshooting issues conducts monthly data backups refreshes lower environments and monitors production jobs for ERP solutions.
Creates custom extensions modifications and integrations with ERP solutions including data manipulation workflows and user interfaces.
Performs data mapping to ensure data consistency and format compatibility between the ERP and integrated systems.
Develops advanced custom and matrix reports using ERP solution Report Writer.
Designs solutions considering performance scalability and maintainability creating technical documentation to guide development.
Plans and executes unit testing system integration testing and user acceptance testing to identify and resolve issues.
Maintains and supports ERP nonproduction environments.
Performs required maintenance activities related to ERP solutions components and supporting services.
Performs platform upgrades to ERP solutions.
Stays uptodate on the latest trends and technologies related ERP solutions Space.
Performs other assigned duties.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in information systems computer science or a closely related field.
Six (6) years experience in ERP software implementation maintenance and support.
Four (4) years in implementing and maintaining Workday modules specifically Human Capital Management (HCM).
Workday HCM or relevant Workday technical certification required.
Qualified candidates will have the following:
Proficiency and hands on experience in supporting and maintaining Workday modules reporting and analytical tools.
Expert understanding of Workday solution architecture.
Working knowledge of Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
Knowledge of Software Development Methodologies.
Working proficiency in Workday Studio Connectors Interface Builder and Reporting Tool.
Demonstrated experience with other ERP solutions.
Additional Considerations
Preferred qualifications include:
Experience with Workday Financials and Budget.
