As a Quality Associate you will handle multiple analytical laboratory compliance projects and demonstrate effectiveness in task completion decisionmaking empowerment of others exception management training problem solving and team leadership. You should bring a functional understanding of FDA ISO EMA and Global Regulators. This position will require the ability to assess and analyze standardized analytical methods and laboratory practice operating procedures.

What youll be doing

  • Lead ongoing global compliance activities for areas of direct responsibility and assist other quality areas in the successful performance of these activities
  • Manage activities to meet quality goals in an efficient accurate and timely manner
  • Collaborate within GMP analytical laboratory across multiple locations globally.
  • Assist in laboratory investigations at commercial sites and method troubleshooting
  • Assess the laboratory practices and performance to identify potential risks out of regulatory requirements
  • Partner in performing method transfers and validations
  • Carry out synthesis and process monitoring in corporation with collaborators
  • Observe and learn how the various operating areas interact and impact upon each other during the daily operations
  • Record interpret and report lessons learned and deploy globally for harmonization
  • Initiate and manage analytical laboratory practices global procedures assessment to identify gaps with regulations and promote harmonization
  • Ensure business needs and timelines of the department are met or exceeded globally
  • Write review analyze and revise written procedures and submit procedural changes as needed to meet Corporate Divisional Plant Regulatory Requirements etc.
  • Partner with facilities divisions and regions to ensure successful implementation and compliance to procedures / regulations
  • Involved in and lead multiple laboratory improvement projects or other focus groups design of experiments validation development of new methodologies and improving existing methodologies introduce new technologies data generation report development and presentation

What youll bring

  • Bachelors degree in science or engineering required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Sterility Assurance Quality Compliance Quality Engineering Validation or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in auditing techniques interpreting regulations and quality system helpful
  • Strong technical writing skills. Must be able to clearly document audit findings within audit reports
  • Strong technical analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Good interpersonal communication influencing negotiation skills
  • Understand scientific strategies and be able to invent new methods or new avenues of improvement
  • Good project management skills
  • Working knowledge of FDA Regulations Application of Good Laboratory Practices and Application of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Must be flexible to travel 35%50% including internationally

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter we are committed to equitable pay for all employees and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $88000 $121000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location skills and expertise experience and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
