Job Description
Job Title: Machine Shop Operator & Helper (We have 1 position available)
Location: Conroe TX
Pay Rate: $19$20 per hour
Shifts: 12hour shifts (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Employment Type: FullTime
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Machine Shop Operator & Helper to support the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will assist in machine maintenance cleanliness and shop organization. This is a handson role that contributes to the efficiency and safety of the machine shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain manufacturing machines including lathes and material sorters
- Change oil in machines and clean up oil spills promptly
- Remove metal shavings and debris from machines and work areas
- Empty trash and maintain overall cleanliness of the shop
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed
- Perform general janitorial duties within the machine shop
- Organize tools parts and materials
- Assist machinists with basic tasks such as staging materials handling parts and preparing workstations
- Monitor supply levels (e.g. rags fluids bins) and notify supervisor when restocking is needed
- Follow all safety and housekeeping protocols
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a machine shop or janitorial/maintenance role is a plus
- Ability to work 12hour shifts including both day and night schedules
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Reliable and punctual
