Position Summary
Under direct supervision this position serves as a support to the Grant PUD Accounting department. Responsible for handling multiple accounting and internal customer supportrelated services while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Demonstrates excellent computer skills organizational habits interpersonal communication and a strong work ethic.
Essential Functions

Essential duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Performs highquality and professional daytoday accounting activities; demonstrates a strong proficiency in computer literacy and all Microsoft programs including Word Excel and PowerPoint; understands the policies and procedures of Grant PUD and acts in a manner that coincides with Grant PUDs strategic vision and standards.
- Completes a variety of accounting related support tasks as assigned. This may include reviewing preparing and analyzing financial transactions and reports. These tasks may be related to Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Projects General Ledger budget to actual reports and financial statements.
- Operates efficiently and effectively in an office environment providing excellent internal customer service.
- Assists with a broad variety of basic administrative tasks including scanning documents organizing files and internal department communications.
- Assists in developing documents emails memos reports etc.; able to create professional documents to serve the specific needs of the department or situation; gathers correct information and shows integrity in presentation; shows clear grammar and written skills.
- Handles various tasks throughout the day and can prioritize and organize efficiently; demonstrates high attention to detail and is taskoriented; participates in research and analytics where needed and provides support for the Accounting and Finance Staff.
- May operate a district vehicle. Occasional travel to other Grant PUD locations is required.
- Demonstrated commitment to Grant PUDs mission vision values strategic plan and Grant PUD/IBEW Local 77 Code of Excellence. The incumbent should be familiar with these organizational priorities and behave in a way that aligns with these expectations.
- Understand and adhere to compliance requirements for this position that may include laws regulations security guidelines Grant PUD policies & procedures.
- Actively participate in all aspects of our safety program including but not limited to:
- Following all safety policies and procedures.
- Alerting supervisors and coworkers to unsafe or hazardous working conditions.
- Reporting any safety incidents or close calls within 24 hours to your supervisor.
- Accepting feedback from supervisors and coworkers regarding your own safety performance
Education and Experience
Required
- Must provide proof of and maintain an overall cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
- Must provide proof of and maintain full time student status.
License and Certification
Required
- A valid drivers license with no driving restrictions.
Other Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of general understanding of cultural resource issues; organizational policies and procedures; department policies and procedures; computer programs; file management; office environment; administrative tasks.
- Skill in operating a personal computer and general office equipment; typing and entering data with speed and accuracy; utilizing MS office products; organization and prioritization; interpersonal skills including clear and concise communication both in writing and verbally.
