Job Description
The Project Lead Maintenance Technician Mechanical Welding performs and directs varied mechanical and basic electrical and basic instrument and control maintenance activities and other duties necessary to maintain the generation facility to which they are assigned.
What you will do
- Responsible for and directs the overall mechanical and basic electrical and basic instrument and control maintenance functions to include but not limited to the following:
- Performs and/or directs the mechanical and basic electrical and basic instrument and control troubleshooting maintaining repairing cleaning inspecting and constructing of equipment and systems for the generation facility.
- Coordinates small projects performed with either inhouse or outside resources.
- Participates in outage planning and coordinates outage work projects and activities.
- Assures that all documentation is performed. Maintains maintenance and related records.
- Directs operates and/or obtains information from various mechanical and electrical devices used to support specific equipment diagnostics or work activities; gathers interprets and logs data.
- Performs and/or directs various welding activities.
- Supports safety plant reliability productivity and plant efficiency improvements by participating in continuous improvement activities.
- Directs the performance and is responsible for the safety and orientation of assigned employees.
- Performs and/or directs other duties which are similar related or incidental to this position.
- High School Diploma or GEC
Required Experience
- 3 years journey level experience in the mechanical trade.
- Completion of a State approved apprenticeship program.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems.
- Welldeveloped skills in machining; knowledge of theory and skill in welding
- Knowledge of company safety rules
- High degree of mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
- Strong leadership ability
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job.
- Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse work environment.
