As a Manager Field Engineering (Public Sector Data and AI) you will lead a team of presales Solutions Architects focusing on complex strategic accounts helping to lead our UK&I expansion. Your experience partnering with sales organisations will help to close revenue with opportunities of $1M ARR while coaching new sales and presales team members to work together. You will guide your team and be involved with opportunities to enhance your teams effectiveness. You must be an expert at communicating complex business valuefocused solutions; supporting complex sales cycles; and building relationships with key stakeholders in large corporations.
You will report to the Senior Manager Field Engineering.
The impact you will have:
- Manage hiring onboarding and building your PreSales Solutions Architect team
- Rapidly scale the designated team without sacrificing quality
- Build a collaborative culture within a rapidgrowth team. To embody and promote Databricks customerobsessed teamwork and diverse culture
- Support an increase in ARR through the investment of Solutions Architect involvement in sales cycles
- Promote a solution and valuebased selling fieldengineering organisation
- Display an understanding of business needs and revenue potential for accounts in the assigned region
- Build Databricks brand in UK&I in partnership with the Marketing and Sales team
What we look for:
- Experience in a presales manager role in developing managing and building a team of successful Big Data AI or Cloud professionals.
- Experience in a customerfacing role within the Public Sector HMRC DEFRA Central Government exp / exposure too with National Security
- SC Cleared an advantage (resident of the UK for 5 yrs)
- Experience in developing gotomarket (GTM) strategies for the Public Sector
- Experience in complex strategic accounts generating
- Have experience scaling and mentoring field and technical teams
- Knowledgeable in and passionate about datadriven decisions AI and Cloud software models
- Great at instituting processes for technical field members to improve efficiency
- Market experience of the UK&I region
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or equivalent work experience
