Job Description

3month secondment Full time 35 hours

General Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support:

Providing administrative and technical support to the Community Safety team including but not limited to organizing meetings managing data logging information on systems and portals and preparing reports.

  • MultiAgency Coordination:

Coordinating and supporting partnerships between various agencies such as the police local councils and community groups.

Customer engagement

Communicating with and supporting customers including residents and other stakeholders to address their concerns and needs carry out risk assessments and escalate as necessary.

  • Investigation and Case Management:

Taking initial reports of antisocial behaviour and assisting with investigations into incidents and managing cases related to community safety.

  • Project Support:

Providing support for various community safety projects including monitoring progress evaluating effectiveness and preparing funding bids.

  • Raising Awareness:

Helping to raise awareness of community safety issues and promoting engagement with relevant programs and initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Administrative Skills:

Strong organizational and time management skills as well as proficiency in using relevant software and systems.

  • Communication Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of Community Safety:

Some understanding of community safety issues including crime prevention antisocial behaviour and related initiatives.

  • Teamwork and Collaboration:

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders.

  • ProblemSolving and Analytical Skills:

Ability to identify problems analyse situations and develop solutions to address community safety concerns.

Please note the role requires flexible working and will involve occasional evening and Saturday commitments.
