Project Kuiper is Amazons low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Key job responsibilities
Can apply a deep understanding of a broad range of tools equipment and handling machinery to accomplish your daily tasks effectively and efficiently
Upholds all safety requirements in all zones and work locations of responsibility
Assists in the development of new and junior team members and adheres to standards and procedures
Independently execute and prioritize work to meet production schedules
Integration and test of the Kuiper satellite and various complex subassemblies in a cleanroom and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controlled environment
Rigging and critical lifts of bulky sensitive flight hardware
Able to obtain and maintain licenses operator permits and/or certifications as required
Use precision calibrated tools torque wrenches multimeters optical inspection devices micrometers and calipers
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
Perform work according to procedures specifications and test instructions
Run functional and environmental testing on units including some basic troubleshooting operations
Check and inspect your work after completion to ensure engineering and quality standards are met per the drawing and work instruction requirements
Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to develop and document activities including continuous improvement opportunities
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure an efficient safe and effective work environment
Willing to work overtime and weekends as required
Shift schedule will vary depending on production/launch schedules
Must be willing and able to perform extended travel up to 25% annually either domestically or internationally as business needs demand
A day in the life
The Processing Technician will complete tasks according to work instructions and manufacturing engineering direction ensuring work is completed to high quality during flight hardware operations and integration processes. This position requires skill and experience in a variety of areas including mechanical assembly rigging highpressure gas handling (propellant loading) electrical test rack connections/checkouts and satellite/ground system troubleshooting. In short you will be responsible for a majority of the most critical tasks to process & integrate the Kuiper satellite for launch ensuring high quality workmanship and safety standards are adhered to on a daily basis.

High school diploma GED or equivalent experience
12 years in mechanical or electrical hardware assembly test and/or installation
Able to obtain and maintain a US Passport & must meet customs entry requirements to include but not limited to: Yellow Fever vaccine and other immunization requirements as recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Ability to pass Kennedy Space Center background checks
Experience in aerospace automotive medical device aviation military or other highreliability operating environments
Experience in a fastpaced processing team environment
Experience working with highpressure gas/fluids and/or cryogenic systems
Experience working with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) ESD sensitive hardware and in a clean room
Experience with forklifts cranes rigging and heavy equipment (including previous certifications)
A demonstrated ability in reading/understanding technical drawings work instructions and standard operating procedures
Ability to use multiple types of precision measuring instruments
Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a highpaced challenging work environment
Able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive assembly operations
Able to climb ladders work in tight spaces bending grasping sitting pulling pushing stooping and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
Able to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted
