What You Will Do:
The Network Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing an organizations IT infrastructure to align with its business objectives. This role involves creating strategic IT roadmaps ensuring system integration and optimizing processes to enhance efficiency and scalability. The Network Engineer collaborates with stakeholders to ensure that IT solutions meet both current and future business needs.
Responsibilities of this role are as follows to include but not limited to:
Design deploy and manage functional networks (LAN WAN WLAN).
Configure and install network devices including routers switches and firewalls.
Monitor network performance and ensure optimal functionality.
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated network issues.
Implement and oversee network security measures including access controls and disaster recovery plans.
Automate network tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Maintain detailed technical documentation for network systems.
Suggest improvements to enhance network performance and scalability.
What You Will Need:
Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD Public Trust
EIGHT (8) or more years of experience supporting IT Enterprise Operations and/or Network Engineering.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Architect Professional (CCNA)
Professional Cloud Solutions Architect Certification
Certification in MultiCloud (AWS GCP OCI Azure)
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Bachelors
Experience supporting federal government customers and/or prior experience within the federal government.
Experience with network security and access control models.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Consultants need to effectively communicate technical solutions to nontechnical audiences build strong client relationships and collaborate with diverse teams.
Adaptability and Learning The IT landscape is constantly evolving so consultants should be eager to learn new technologies and adapt to changing client needs.
CustomerCentricity Understanding and addressing client needs is crucial and consultants need to be able to tailor solutions to meet specific business goals.
Business and Technical Acumen A successful consultant can bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions.
