POSITION: Technology Systems Specialist Administrative support Networking & Security
RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for providing technology support device and platform management advanced hardware and software troubleshooting infrastructure setup and support infrastructure and networking security administrative meeting support and support of the educational and administrative goals of Berkeley County Schools.
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Executive Director of Information Technology
SALARY: Berkeley County Schools Teacher Pay scale with years of experience and degree level and coordinator index supplement
EMPLOYMENT TERM: 240 Days (Flex)
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.) Bachelors Degree required Masters preferred
2.) Possession or eligibility to obtain WVDE Technology Systems Specialist (TSS) certification within one year
3.) Technology background preferred
4.) Excellent communication skills
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for assisting with the management and maintenance of all organization technologies and providing technological support and training. This position is responsible administrative support support of network infrastructure and security initiatives. This position will be actively involved in district technology initiative planning and budgeting involving all administrative offices and school locations. This position will be directly involved with schoolbased technology support personnel and expected to lead teams for technologyrelated projects of schoolbased and countywide personnel and/or outside vendors. This position is responsible for providing back end and end user device support management basic hardware and software troubleshooting and instructional technology support for the educational administrative and operational goals of Berkeley County Schools.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully the following technology proficiencies and platform knowledge will be required: 1to1Plus Extreme Networks Statseeker Microsoft Office Suite Office365 Webtop Primero POS systems security/surveillance camera systems including Verkada badge readers Schoology Intune Google Admin Linewize Classwize Apple Classroom Apple School Manager GoGuardian Clever Chrome OS iOS Android OS Mac OS WVEIS/WOW and WVEIS 2.0. Advanced understanding of network design security VoIP and user account management. To perform this job successfully candidates must also posses a willingness to learn new platforms and systems as implemented to support Berkeley County Schools initiatives.
