Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detailoriented Assistant Controller to join our finance team. As the Assistant Controller you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the company ensuring accuracy in financial reporting compliance with regulations and efficient internal controls. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to the companys financial success and growth.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Controller in overseeing the daytoday financial operations of the organization.
Participate in the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Ensure accurate and timely completion of financial close processes including journal entries account reconciliations and variance analysis.
Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
Assist with preparing workpapers for the annual external audit
. Record all vehicles sales into the accounting system
. Assist with reconciliation of bank accounts and lending accounts.
. Responsible for all aspects of fixed asset accounting including recording of depreciation.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Associates degree in Accounting Finance related field or equivalent work experience
5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
Detailoriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and precision in financial reporting.
Effective communication skills both verbal and written to interact with internal teams and external partners.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant office software.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated problemsolving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and experience working with auditors.
Adaptability and willingness to take on new responsibilities as the company evolves.
