Responsibilities
- Access control for vendors visitors or contractors as required.
- Processing incoming and outgoing vehicles and trucks checking drivers paperwork.
- Admitting and departing trucks weighing trucks in/out and assuring all drivers have
the required PPE. - Maintaining clear accurate logs pertaining to people or property.
- Maintaining a safe organized work environment.
- Responding to any and all medical emergencies both minor and major in and around the plant.
- Signing off on confined space permits.
- Completing post check rounds.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Able to pass preemployment drug screen and criminal background check
- Able to read write speak and understand English
- Able to meet physical essential functions of the job which can include lifting 50 lbs completing foot patrols walking up and down stairs working in inclement weather
Preferred Qualifications of Security Officers:
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving
- Bilingual considered a plus
- Proficiency with a computer
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
