Job Description
Position Title:Bus Mechanic
Department: Transportation
Reports To: Transportation Supervisor
School Year: 202526
Contract: 240Days
Closing: May 30 2025
Salary: (Under StateRequired Info)
Qualifications
High School or general education diploma
Training and experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance
Knowledge of tire inspection
Knowledge of Automotive Air Conditioning
Ability to inspect buses to meet Arkansas state standards
CDL Class B license with passenger school bus and air brake endorsement
Responsibilities
Follows and maintains district policies and procedures
Performs maintenance and operation of equipment
Inventories parts tools and equipment
Maintains all shop areas
Keeps and maintains shop records
Available for transportation problems that may arise outside of normal working hours
Other duties as assigned
