Summary:
The Patient Financial Services Representative (PFSR) and Clinic Driver serves as the first point of contact in greeting patients and guarantors in the hospital ambulatory or medical office setting. The PFSR engages with the patient or guarantor to obtain pertinent information and answer any questions in an effort to ensure that all required demographic financial and insurance eligibility information is gathered and verified. Ensures all required notices and consent forms are signed accordingly. Drives a mobile medical van to various local communities and healthcare events.Responsibilities:
Explains polices including all regulatory and financial consent forms; secures all required precertification and schedule walkin appointments for services perform patient discharge functions including but not limited to review of after visit summary (AVS) future appointment scheduling and patients and guarantors at the workstation or bedside to obtain all necessary information including a copy of the patient or guarantor identification insurance benefits including obtaining insurance card(s) and confirms coverage is active. Determines correct insurance filing order if multiple insurance coverages are effective for that patient outofpocket responsibility per collection guidelines. Provides patient estimates as requested. Prepares and balances a daily deposit of all payment confirm physician and prescription orders ensuring exceptional customer service and ensures all questions and concerns are addressed in a timely and courteous manner. May guide the patient to appropriate destination for a mobile medical van to various local communities and healthcare events. Weekend work may be required.Competencies:

One (1) year of related hospital medical office or customer service experience Information: Additional Information: Employment in this position is contingent upon successful completion of a Level II Criminal History record be graduate of an accredited EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) or MA (Medical Assistant) Diploma program possess Medical Assistant Registration or Medical Assistant Certification; or have six (6) months of patient care Education Info: Six (6) months of patient care experience in lieu of graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant or EMT License Number (DRIVER LIC) Department of Motor Vehicles: cleared through Memorial Healthcare System (MHS) requirementsMotor Vehicle Report (MVR) Department of Motor Vehicles: cleared through MHS requirementsAdditional Credential Info: Will attend a MHS designated driver training program within 6months of hire.Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
