• Collaborate closely with the Product team and Core Banking domain experts to define the scope scale and technical requirements for new features or integrations related to core banking functionalities (Account services transaction processing lending workflows regulatory reporting).
• Design resilient scalable and secure system architecture that effectively integrates with or extends the capabilities of the core banking platform considering upstream and downstream data flows.
• Implement robust data structures and apply appropriate design patterns specifically for handling sensitive financial data and optimizing interactions with core banking databases or APIs ensuring solutions are cloudagnostic where required.
• Design and Develop highly scalable and secure APIs and Microservices that serve as integration layers between the core banking system and other internal/external applications handling high transaction volumes and ensuring data consistency across systems. Ensure these services are containeragnostic and leverage virtualization capabilities effectively.
• Write highquality maintainable code (both lowlevel interaction logic and highlevel business logic) that directly interfaces with core banking APIs databases or messaging queues building necessary abstraction and orchestration layers to manage complexity and dependencies. Develop comprehensive test coverage models.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues bugs and data discrepancies that arise from core banking interactions integration points or specific banking business logic. Refactor existing code and propose system design adjustments to improve reliability and maintainability within the banking context.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks within core banking integration points transaction processing paths or data retrieval mechanisms optimizing software efficiency under heavy load conditions typical in financial systems.
• Work collaboratively with UI/UX designers and other engineering teams to develop microservices that expose core banking functionalities or consume data from the core ensuring a seamless and secure user experience.
• Create clear and comprehensive technical documentation for APIs integration flows data models and system designs specific to the core banking domain and its interactions.
• Ensure all development and implementation activities adhere strictly to banking industry regulations security standards (like data encryption and access control) and internal compliance policies specifically regarding the handling and processing of financial data.
• Develop expertise in the specific core banking platform(s) used by the organization (e.g. Fiserv FIS Finacle) understanding their architecture data models and customization capabilities.

• 7 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer with a significant portion focused on building enterpriselevel applications.
• 7 years of direct handson working experience developing integrating or customizing solutions on or with industrial core banking platforms such as Fiserv FIS or Finacle. (This is a mandatory requirement).
• Proven understanding of core banking concepts processes and data models (Accounts transactions payments loans deposits customer data) and how they are represented and managed within these platforms.
• Proficiency in Backend Technologies and Frameworks applied in a financial/banking context.
• Extensive experience with backend languages and frameworks like Java (Spring Boot Spring Cloud Java Server Faces) Python (Django Flask) or JavaScript (NodeJS ExpressJS). Must demonstrate the ability to apply these technologies to build secure scalable and compliant services that interact with core banking systems.
• Extensive knowledge and practical experience with Software Quality and Security Analysis tools (SonarQube CheckMarx Fossa 42C) specifically applied to code handling sensitive financial data and interacting with critical banking infrastructure.
• Wellversed in Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies including designing effective code coverage models and practicing coding Katas with an emphasis on testing critical financial logic and integration points.
• Strong working experience with version control (Git/Github) and CI/CD pipelines demonstrating the ability to design and implement secure automated deployment processes for applications interacting with core banking systems.
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Virtualization and Container Orchestration (Kubernetes K8s) configurations understanding how to provision and manage infrastructure for financial applications ensuring reliability and security.
• Must have DevSecOps experience having designed and implemented secure CI/CD pipelines that incorporate security scanning (SAST/DAST) and compliance checks relevant to the banking industry.
• Should have strong working experience with public cloud platforms especially GCP demonstrating expertise in Containerization and Virtualization technologies for deploying and managing financial services applications securely in the cloud.
• Extensive knowledge on Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) capabilities and how to interpret and act on findings in a securitysensitive financial environment.
• Must know how to debug cloudnative platforms including managed and unmanaged services IAM configurations Custom Resources and Policy as Code (PAC) specifically in the context of troubleshooting financial applications deployed on GCP.
• Proficient in monitoring and logging tools such as Dynatrace Splunk Prometheus and Grafana with experience setting up monitoring for performance availability and security events related to core banking integrations and financial transaction flows.
• Extensive knowledge of database systems and SQL with proven ability to perform ObjectRelational Mapping (ORM) and write complex queries to fetch and manipulate data. Experience with MySQL SQL Server PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB is required with an understanding of the data structures and integrity requirements for financial data.
• Experience in using web hosting platforms on cloud services with required exposure to GCP for deploying managing and scaling financial applications securely.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across the full stack including issues related to core banking system integrations data inconsistencies and performance problems under high load.
• Excellent communication collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with technical teams business stakeholders and potentially core banking platform vendors.
• Understanding of data security and privacy principles (encryption tokenization access control) and relevant financial regulations (GDPR CCPA specific banking acts).
