Mechanical Product Support Engineer
Location: Based in Barcelona with regular international travel
Department: R&D Product Support
Reports to: R&D Manager
About the Role:
As a worldwide market leader in airport logistics we design and deliver cuttingedge material handling systems that power the worlds busiest hubs. We are seeking a driven and detailoriented Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D Product Support team. In this role you will ensure the successful translation of mechanical concepts into operational excellence onsite playing a critical role in the transition from design to deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite technical support during equipment installations upgrades and field trials
- Translate R&D mechanical designs into actionable assembly installation and service procedures
- Identify and resolve mechanical integration issues across manufacturing and field applications
- Serve as a key liaison between design factory and service teams during project rollouts
- Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions in coordination with development
- Provide feedback to R&D based on field performance user behavior and manufacturing observations
Requirements:
- BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 610 years of experience in machine design field support or production engineering
- Strong 3D CAD skills (e.g. SolidWorks Creo)
- Proven experience working on complex mechanical assemblies
- Willingness to travel internationally (10%)
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
