JOB TITLE: High School Choir Accompanist

REPORTS TO: Choir Director

JOB DESCRIPTION: Accompanying the six choral ensembles at GreenfieldCentral High School.

DUTIES: The accompanist plays piano for daily rehearsals and quarterly evening performances. They also lead occasional sectionals where the choir director takes one half of the students and the accompanist takes the other half. Vocal lines and piano accompaniment must be learned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; lift and carry 25 lbs.; work at a desk or piano; see for the purpose of reading music rules and policies and other printed matter; hear and understand speech at normal levels; communicate so others will be able to clearly understand a normal conversation operate office equipment and reach in all directions.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluations of Classified Staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or equivalent.
Accompanist experience is preferred.
