Job Description

Job Summary:The Academic Support Teacher provides targeted instructional support to students who require additional academic assistance to meet gradelevel expectations. Working collaboratively with classroom teachers administrators and support staff the Academic Support Teacher identifies students learning needs and implements effective interventions and strategies to promote academic growth and Duties and Responsibilities:Deliver smallgroup and oneonone instruction to students in need of academic intervention primarily in reading writing and/or with classroom teachers to develop differentiated instructional strategies tailored to students learning the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) 504 Plans or Response to Intervention (RTI) strategies as academic assessments and analyze data to monitor student progress and adjust interventions regularly with parents caregivers and educational team members regarding student progress and support accurate records of student support sessions interventions and in team meetings professional development and training related to student support and instructional best a positive inclusive and supportive learning other duties as assigned.
