HeartShare St. Vincents Services (HSVS) Nuevo Camino program is dedicated to providing 38 unaccompanied minors ages 512 with a supportive nurturing environment through transitional foster homes daily education Monday Friday and supportive wraparound services in the Sunset Park section of New York City. Our program is rooted in ensuring that service delivery is trauma informed culturally appropriate and tailored to the needs of each child while maintaining all program requirements of ORR.
The staff coordinator position is responsible for providing support to training initiatives for program staff and coordinating the certification and background check process to ensure compliance with funder requirements. This role entails overseeing the development of trainings used for staff and foster parents coordinating with management to identify professional development opportunities and facilitating trainings. The staff coordinator collaborates with HR to organize employee training files and background check clearances to ensure compliance.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of Position:
Bachelors degree required
Minimum 1 year of experience in administrative/data entry support
Minimum 1 year of experience facilitating trainings
Strong written and verbal communication skills; responsive and professional with internal teams and external stakeholders
Proficient in webbased communication tools such as Microsoft Teams and GoToMeeting
Demonstrated project management skills; capable of coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent organizational leadership and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) such as HSLC and familiarity with instructional design and elearning platforms
Commitment to the mission and values of ORRAccompanied Minors with the ability to model those values in professional relationships
Must provide proof of COVID19 vaccination prior to start date (accommodations available for medical or religious reasons)
