Janitorial SupervisorJob Description Summary
The Janitorial Supervisor is a working supervisor who leads and coordinates the custodial team during the overnight shift ensuring that all cleaning and facility support services are completed to contract specifications safety standards and client satisfaction. The Superintendent supports the C&W Cleaning Manager in overseeing operations across a large site. This role includes staffing scheduling quality assurance problem resolution safety compliance and direct client engagement.This position works the night shift (11:00pm 7:00am).
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all custodial operations across assigned buildings during the overnight shift.
- Ensure that cleaning tasks snow removal (as needed) and general maintenance meet performance standards and client expectations.
- Maintain daily/weekly schedules and time sheets for all shift personnel; submit accurate payroll records.
- Conduct orientation and onthejob training for new employees and support employee development and safety awareness.
- Monitor the use and inventory of cleaning supplies equipment and materials; oversee key control and equipment upkeep.
- Execute regular quality assurance inspections reporting findings and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Participate in special projects such as internal office moves and conference room setups.
- Troubleshoot and resolve service delivery issues promptly and professionally.
- Communicate with daytime managers to ensure operational continuity and relay any incidents or facility issues.
- Maintain positive and professional client relationships through regular communication and responsiveness.
- Support budget control efforts by managing resource usage and staff efficiency.
- Participate in ongoing technical and leadership training including safety committees and compliance meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 13 years of custodial supervisory experience required; corporate or institutional setting preferred.
- Uptodate knowledge of cleaning practices OSHA regulations and floor care techniques.
- Strong organizational communication and leadership skills.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (required).
- Proficient in managing schedules reports and basic office technology.
- Ability to work independently and proactively during overnight hours.
- Must pass a background check due to the sensitive nature of the worksite.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand walk bend and lift up to 50 lbs. during shift.
- Comfortable working in varied facility environments (restrooms office floors service areas).
- Available for overtime emergencies or weatherrelated duties such as snow removal.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement the geographic area in which the work will be performed market pay rates in that area and the candidates experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
