As we scale we need to build experiences for business customers to move their planned spend on a recurring basis to Amazon Business. In this role you will lead a critical and highlyvisible products for the business. You will be given the opportunity to autonomously deliver the technical direction of services and the feature roadmap. As a Software Development Manager in our Marketing space youll be empowered to take ownership of a broad range of responsibilities such as:
Directly hiring retaining and growing top management and engineering talent within your group.
Being a clear technical voice working in partnership with your teams to deliver global business solutions.
Quickly and reliably delivering high quality technical solutions that will delight our customers.
Working on business strategy to define a product roadmap thats compelling and focused on growth while collaborating with product management teams across Amazons businesses.
Clearly communicating at the executive level risks successes and missteps as you define and execute on a vision for the product.



Key job responsibilities
This person will be managing 10 direct reports.

3 years of engineering team management experience
5 years of working directly within engineering teams experience
3 years of designing or architecting (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
5 years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing certification and livesite operations
Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements describe software product features technical designs and product strategy
Experience in recruiting hiring mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers
