ABOUT YOU
We are seeking a talented Software Developer to join our dynamic team on a 12month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing developing and maintaining highquality software. We are seeking someone who has experience and knowledge ofdeveloping applications using Python C# JavaScript .Net HTML and CSS.
Required skills and experience:
- Demonstrable experience in application development and integration
- Familiarity with computing science data science or other related disciplines
- Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure and data environment
- Interest in expanding knowledge across a variety of toolsets and technologies
- Familiarity with building and deploying applications in a cloud environment
- Experience developing applications using Python C# JavaScript .Net HTML and CSS
- Understanding of build and versioning tools such as Github BitBucket
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good problem identification and solving skills
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Software Developer will work directly with the InterPret Software Development team and other Intertek team members to deliver new functionality and enhancements to an existing product suite. A key aspect of the role is to communicate with a number of teams to gain an understanding of the use of Interteks existing software products. This understanding will be developed into user stories and requirement specifications which will form the basis of the feature development.
Key activities:
- Create and maintain new/improved functionality of existing Intertek software projects
- Maintain high standards of code quality making use of version control tools
- Engage in the development of software using a clear process e.g.Agile DevOps Test Driven development
- Undertake development in accordance with scope outlined in Project Definition Documents (PDD)
- Create and update documentation and accessibility of software solutions
- Actively engage in Interteks performance culture to exceed customer expectations
- Utilize Azure infrastructure and data environment to design deploy and manage cloudbased solutions
