Job Description

Associate International Contract Management Specialist

Boeing Operations Ltda is currently seeking an Associate International Contract Management Specialist to join the International Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) team in Ottawa Canada.

This position supports the Medium to Heavy Lift (MHLH) DCS International Defense business (acquisitions direct to Canada) as well as some commercial contracting with industry partners. As part of the International DCS Contracts team this position is focused and aligned to our current and growing global customers and aligned across the Boeing sites. This is an exciting opportunity as we support and help drive international defense growth.

This Contracts position will partner with the Regional / Program Directors Global Sales & Marketing and Project Managers from preproposal activities to proposal and contract development for the full acquisition process to award and continuing throughout the contract execution and delivery. The role will also be required to address areas such as Tax Treasury Insurance Law and Export Compliance throughout the preparation review and approval process. A successful candidate will research and effectively solve problems effectively collaborate and lead acquisition teams develop negotiation positions and ensure proper handoffs with the execution team.

Position Responsibilities:

Support acquisition and execution of Boeing Global Services (BGS) International Defense Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) Contracts
Acquisition efforts in support of requirements definition planning organizing development and submittal of proposals and subsequent negotiation and administration
Develop relationships with internal and external customers and ensure engagement with requirements development
Execute daily tasks as part of a team that is not physically located together
Work closely with One Boeing Global Process (OBGP) for the applicable regions
Close coordination with various internal functions (including but not limited to Estimating & Pricing Supplier Management Supply Chain Management Accounting Financial Controls Program Management Global Sales and Marketing etc.)
Develop Proposal Plan of Action coordinate and facilitate functional inputs develop proposals negotiate participation in gate reviews request proposal reviews
Contract award and post award activities (e.g. placement of financial assurances invoicing warranty claims etc.)
Domestic and/or International Travel will be required as needed to support major acquisition / negotiations or program meetings
Flexible hour support will be required as needed to support various time zones

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite. This is at the hiring teams discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Must be eligible for authorization under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Must be able to obtain Secret Level II clearance
Must be eligible to handle US exportcontrolled data
Bachelors Degree or Higher
1 years of experience drafting negotiating and executing complex contracts and/or subcontracts
1 years of experience building developing and maintaining customer relationships
1 years of experience in business related function (including but not limited to: Finance Contracts Estimating Procurement Financial Analysis Business Operations Supplier Management Marketing & Sales


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Active Secret Level II clearance
3 years of experience working with commercial and international contracts
Confident in a fastpaced environment with competing priorities and able to multitask and manage expectations
Experience adapting to changes in schedules and priorities solving problems and generating alternative solutions
Strong critical thinking time management problem solving negotiation communication and interpersonal skills
Work well independently and as part of a team
Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively across functions


Typical Education & Experience:


Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master1 years related work experience 7 years related work experience etc.).

Relocation:


Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Work Shift:


This position will be for first shift.


Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing USbased payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
