We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Finance team in a hybrid capacity at our Dartmouth location. In this role you will be responsible for keying accounting entries performing financial analysis of various accounts and assisting the team with adhoc activities related to timesensitive periodic reports to management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Financial Reporting Team in preparing consolidated financial statements;

  • Perform account reconciliations and support monthend activities including preparing backup for journal entries;

  • Aid in the preparation of various tax filings and investment reports;

  • Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner;

  • Recognize and act on opportunities to enhance processes whenever possible make suggestions regarding process improvements and efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Postsecondary education in business and/or accounting;

  • 13 years experience in finance;

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and strong technical abilities including: proficiency in spreadsheet preparation the ability to operate within a computerized accounting environment;

  • Results oriented with the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment while maintaining high attention to detail;

  • Problem solving and analysis skills;

  • Ability to organize tasks and priorities effectively to meet deadlines;

  • Selfmotivation with the ability to work well both independently and with others;

  • Excellent communication skills and able to deliver information clearly and confidently orally and in writing as you work with both internal and external partners;

  • Bilingualism (English/ French) is considered an asset.
