Key job responsibilities
Supporting various aspects of our accounting and reporting process.
Endtoend process ownership to support finance and business partners.
Understand internal control design concepts sufficient to assess the effectiveness of controls in their area and to design new processes and controls for emerging and growing business activities.
Execute judgments to keep projects moving and ensure the right decisions are reached to close the books each month.
Escalating risks and issues as necessary to leadership.
Strong sense of ownership.
Ability to identify process improvement and automation opportunities to drive positive change across the organization.
Lead delivery of accounting tasks and projects.
Enhance partnerships between Accounting and various business and IT groups.
Research conclude and memorialize technical accounting position papers.

The Intercompany Accounting team stands at the intersection of Amazons global financial operations managing one of the companys largest accounting data volumes. We drive the crucial mission of accurately accounting for reconciling and settling intercompany balances across Amazons vast network of legal entities.
Working closely with global accounting tax legal treasury and technology teams our vision is to enable realtime settlement decisions that optimize cash flow and currency positioning throughout our corporate structure. Our expertise supports critical global reporting and compliance requirements while driving innovative solutions for complex financial challenges.
As recognized subject matter experts we lead multiyear crossfunctional initiatives within the Intercompany program developing and implementing scalable solutions that evolve with Amazons growing global presence. Our team combines technical excellence with strategic thinking to transform complex intercompany processes into streamlined efficient operations.
5 years of finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelors degree in accounting or related field
CPA
Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency
Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification
Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients
Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions
Experience delivering results for large crossfunctional initiatives/projects

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
