McNeese State University invites qualified applicants for the position of Student Services Coordinator. This is a fulltime 12month unclassified position. The appointment is available to begin as early as June 1 2025 and is intended to be filled no later than July 1 2025.

SALARY RANGE:$31000 $33000(based on education qualifications and experience)

Position Duties/Responsibilities

The Student Services Coordinator at McNeese State Universitys Office of Student Services supports the Dean of Student Support and Advocacy in the daily management and operations of the office. This role involves coordinating student support initiatives assisting with case management and promoting student wellbeing and success through responsive services and resources.


  • Manage and operate the Office of Student Services
  • Provide administrative support coordinate meeting scheduling and assist with distributing policy updates
  • Manage and administer the Poke Pantry program with the assistance of student staff
  • Provide guidance and assistance to University sanctioned student groups in planning organizing and delivering events and activities that enhance the student experience and strengthen the Universitys recruitment and retention objectives
  • Assist the Dean of Student of Student Support and Advocacy by investigating and adjudicating conduct cases
  • Assist with communications between the Office of Student Services and other campus offices including Human Resources and Student Affairs
  • Facilitate peer mediation training and conflict mediation services for student organization students
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures specifically geared toward student organizations
  • CoDevelop promote host and evaluate programs in social life leadership training risk management law and policy compliance and other relevant areas of campus life
  • Provide guidance and leadership to team members including graduate assistants and student workers
  • Help host and oversee retreats for student groups
  • Help the Dean of Student Support and Advocacy create and implement ongoing assessments for student activities events and programs while assisting in collection of data tracking statistics and retention rates and drafting reports related to the impact of student engagement at McNeese State University
  • Manage budgets and resources for student activities and programs
  • Assist the Office of Student Services and when assigned oversee general student engagement programs such as welcome back week student tailgates homecoming week and spring fling week
  • Coordinate educational workshops and other events for the campus community
  • Partner with community and institutional personnel for program development and delivery
  • Help the Office of Student Services develop promote host and evaluate programs in social life leadership training risk management law and policy compliance and other relevant areas of campus life
  • Promote opportunities for civic engagement for individual students student organizations and other university involvement sectors.
  • Participate in on and offcampus professional development
  • Network with counterparts at peer institutions to remain abreast of best practices and trends relative to student engagement and student leadership

Transcripts from Foreign Universities: Prospective faculty submitting transcripts from foreign universities or schools must have the coursework evaluated for equivalency to United Statesaccredited coursework by a Universityapproved agency. The prospective faculty member is responsible for the cost of the evaluation. McNeese typically accepts evaluations by World Education Services () or Educational Credential Evaluators Inc..
