A CT scan technologist must be able to accurately interpret a physicians scanning instructions administer contrast materials prepare and operate the CT scan equipment and position the patient to capture the appropriate computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients internal organs and positioning patients to scan specific areas of their regular warmup sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the Xray radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of interpreting doctors written scanning radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical scanning procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as required.
