Location: Norfolk
*Full Time Salary: 138714.28 to 149713.64 Relocation Package Available
Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week
Contract Type: Permanent

Responsibilities
About the Role:
As the Consultant Psychiatrist youll act as the Clinical Lead for the Norfolk service providing expert leadership and guidance across the team. Youll play a key role in developing treatment pathways overseeing clinical practice and ensuring that high professional standards are maintained.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evidencebased treatment for individuals experiencing substance use and mental health challenges.
- Leading on the development and implementation of clinical strategies in partnership with local services including GPs mental health teams and community organisations.
- Offering specialist advice on complex cases and supporting staff with clinical supervision and guidance.
- Ensuring safe and effective prescribing practices in line with national guidelines.
- Engaging in clinical governance activities including audits service evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Representing CGL at local and regional meetings to support service development.
About You
We are looking for a qualified Consultant Psychiatrist who is passionate about making a difference in addiction services and thrives in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
Essential:
- Full GMC registration and on the Specialist Register with a Substance Misuse Psychiatry endorsement.
- Demonstrable experience working with individuals affected by substance use and cooccurring mental health needs.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and develop clinical teams.
- Excellent communication and partnership working skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and clinical governance.
Desirable:
- Experience in teaching supervision or clinical research.
- Section 12 approval or equivalent.
