Job Title: Assistant Head of Department Construction
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Department in managing and overseeing the construction curriculum and operational activities.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of innovative teaching strategies and assessment methods.
- Provide guidance and support to teaching staff to enhance the quality of construction education.
- Monitor student progress and provide academic support to ensure successful learning outcomes.
- Engage with industry partners to maintain current knowledge of trends and ensure curriculum relevance.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic planning for future developments.
- Assist in the recruitment and training of new staff within the department.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe learning environment.
Essential Qualifications:
- A relevant qualification in construction or a related field.
- Experience in teaching and delivering educational programs related to construction.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a teaching or educational leadership role related to construction.
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment design.
- Familiarity with current construction industry practices and trends.
- Experience in working with educational standards and quality assurance processes.
