We are seeking a skilled and experienced Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide perioperative care in a fast-paced surgical department. The RN will deliver both direct and indirect patient care to neonates pediatrics adolescents adults and older adults collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe efficient and high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:Deliver safe and effective nursing care through all perioperative phases using the nursing process: assessment planning implementation and evaluation
Coordinate patient care with surgeons anesthesiologists and the broader surgical team
Supervise direct and support OR Technicians and other staff to maintain a safe and efficient operating environment
Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards hospital policies and infection control protocols
Maintain accurate documentation and participate in Performance Improvement activities
Collaborate with other hospital departments to ensure seamless patient transitions and continuity of care
Participate in unit meetings in-services and mandatory trainings
Serve as a clinical resource and role model to fellow team members
Take call as required for emergency or after-hours procedures
Current and valid California RN license (Required)
BLS certification (AHA) upon hire and must be maintained (Required)
ACLS certification (AHA) within 30 days of hire (Required)
PALS certification (AHA) within 30 days of hire (Required)
Minimum 1 year of perioperative OR nursing experience (Required)
CNOR Certification Preferred
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
Must be able and willing to take call as part of the shift rotation
