Job Description

VHR Is hiring for our client a leading aerospace manufacturing company client specialising in designing and manufacturing parts for airplanes and helicopters. Tasks

As a Manufacturing engineer you will support with analysis or production characteristics to improve processes manage Level 1 nonconformities defining temporary production instructions and prepare level 2 nonconformities.

Duties include:

  • Develop technical solutions to complex problems
  • Hold responsibility for the technical support of manufacturing development and integration for production.
  • Resolve issues pertaining to vendor schedule and/or quality.
  • Utilize root cause analysis preventative and corrective action to reduce/eliminate nonconformances.
  • Manage the implementation of tooling and or production planning from original concept through to production; Design these processes with a high degree of process capability utilizing the clients standard ZeroDefect Manufacturing (ZDM) tool suite to demonstrate as such.
  • Oversee the product development first article development configuration changes build process definition and implementation.
  • Deliver measurable metrics driven results in line with Operational & Program goals.
  • Continuously improve the production processes by implementing Lean initiatives

Requirements

  • experience in managing new product/process introduction (industrialization)
  • experience in managing existing production process improvements
  • experience in assembly could be an advantage
  • 7 years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Degree in Aerospace Mechanical Engineering
  • Working knowledge of quality system models such as ISO9000 AS9100 or D19000.
  • Quality driven and strong documentation / reporting skills.
  • Working knowledge of machining processes (milling millturn boring honing) and of surface treatment processes (heat treatment plating shotpeen NDI) would be an advantage.
