Job Summary for Distribution Engineering Associate (List Format):
- Assist in the design planning and optimization of electrical distribution systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Collaborate in creating detailed drawings and plans for distribution infrastructure projects.
- Collect and analyze data related to distribution networks including load and performance data to support decision-making.
- Meet with customers in the field to determine electrical needs and gather relevant information.
- Help in selecting and specifying distribution equipment such as transformers circuit breakers and switches considering technical requirements.
- Ensure designs and plans comply with safety standards environmental regulations and industry codes; assist in regulatory approval processes.
- Maintain and update accurate records documentation and drawings related to distribution equipment and infrastructure.
- Support project execution by assisting with planning budgeting coordination and general project management tasks.
- Assist in responses to emergency situations (e.g. outages equipment failures) including after-hours support when necessary.
- Learn and use industry-standard software tools for distribution system design and power system simulation.
- Continually pursue technical learning and stay updated on new technologies and trends in electrical distribution engineering.
- Communicate effectively with customers team members and stakeholders providing clear updates and information.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety protocols and procedures in all engineering and field activities.
- Display adaptability and willingness to learn in a dynamic work environment.
