Job Description

One of our clients is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to manage and lead cybersecurity initiatives. This individual will be responsible for the endtoend management of multiple mediumcomplexity cybersecurity projects aimed at enhancing local government cybersecurity practices across Virginia.

The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background excellent communication skills and a proven track record of successful delivery of IT and cybersecurityrelated projects. Federal grant experience and familiarity with public sector procurement are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage cybersecurity projects through full lifecycle: planning execution and closeout

  • Track and manage daily activities project schedules risks and budgets

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams state/local agencies and thirdparty vendors

  • Ensure timely delivery and alignment with project objectives and grant compliance

  • Develop and maintain all project documentation required for federal reporting

  • Provide support for additional tasks related to the SLCGP as assigned



Requirements

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask (5 years)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint) (5 years)

  • Active PMP Certification from PMI must be submitted for consideration

  • Experience leading cybersecurity projects (10 years preferred)

  • Experience with state or federal IT procurement and regulations (desired)

  • Experience managing federally or statefunded grant projects (3 years preferred)

  • Strong communication skills written and verbal (5 years)

  • Familiarity with PlanView AgilePlace (nice to have)

Candidate Requirements

  • Must be physically located within the U.S. throughout the assignment

  • Must agree to attend onsite interviews if required

  • Must commit to working onsite 4 days per week in Richmond VA

  • Local candidates preferred
