The Radiographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures such as Xrays CT scans and other radiographic services to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The successful candidate must ensure patient safety maintain highquality imaging standards and provide compassionate care while adhering to the hospital s protocols and regulatory guidelines.
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures (e.g. Xrays CT scans fluoroscopy) as prescribed by medical professionals.
Ensure proper positioning of patients and settings of equipment to produce highquality images.
Maintain accurate patient records including documentation of procedures and image results.
Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols and infection control policies.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate interpretation and timely delivery of results.
Conduct routine equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance needs.
Ensure compliance with all relevant professional ethical and hospital standards.
Educate and prepare patients for radiographic procedures ensuring comfort and clarity.
Participate in departmental quality assurance programs and continuous professional development.
Provide support during emergency imaging services as needed.
Bachelor s Degree in Radiography or Medical Radiologic Science from an accredited institution.
Must be registered with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN) and possess a current practicing license.
Minimum of 2 years postqualification experience in a reputable healthcare facility (experience in a private hospital setting is an advantage).
Proficiency in operating various imaging equipment including digital radiography and CT scanners.
Strong understanding of radiation safety standards and patient care.
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and under pressure.
