The Medical Officer will provide highquality clinical care to patients in accordance with hospital standards. This role entails evaluating diagnosing and treating a broad range of medical conditions while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes and safety.
Conduct patient consultations clinical examinations and diagnostic investigations.
Provide timely and appropriate medical treatment including prescribing medication and developing treatment plans.
Collaborate with consultants and other healthcare professionals in managing complex cases.
Monitor patients progress update medical records and communicate effectively with patients and families regarding their health conditions and treatment options.
Participate in clinical audits ward rounds and case reviews.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies and participate in emergency care procedures as required.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies ethical standards and statutory regulations.
Participate in continuous medical education and professional development programs.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and interns where applicable.
Perform other clinical duties as assigned by supervisors.
MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
Minimum of 2 years of postNYSC clinical experience (preferably in a hospital setting).
Valid practicing license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications (an added advantage).
Strong diagnostic and decisionmaking skills.
Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork abilities.
