Job Description
Job Location: Ghana (Accra or Takoradi)
Working Hours: 40 hours/week
Salary: Commensurate with qualification and experience
Job Summary:
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior macOS Developer with a proven track record of leading technical teams and overseeing the delivery of complex macOS applications. The ideal candidate will not only possess indepth expertise in macOS development but also can take charge of a teams technical direction ensuring highquality scalable and performant solutions.
This role requires someone with handson experience who can guide the team through technical challenges make critical architectural decisions and ensure timely and efficient delivery of projects. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to align on requirements and deliver highimpact solutions while mentoring junior developers and setting the standard for code quality and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical delivery of macOS projects ensuring quality and timely execution of all milestones
- Design develop and maintain macOS applications and systemlevel components
- Provide technical guidance mentorship and leadership to junior and midlevel developers
- Oversee the integration of applications with macOS system components ensuring reliability and performance
- Make critical architectural decisions setting direction for the team and aligning with project goals
- Collaborate with product design and QA teams to define and refine requirements and ensure successful project delivery
- Optimise applications for performance memory usage and power efficiency
- Write and enforce coding standards best practices and maintainable code principles
- Actively participate in code reviews technical documentation and knowledgesharing sessions
- Continuously evaluate new tools frameworks and technologies to improve development processes
- Stay current with macOS development trends tools and frameworks incorporating the latest advancements into team practices
Qualifications :
MustHave:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
5 years of experience in macOS application development
Strong proficiency in Swift and ObjectiveC
Experience with driver development and integration with macOS systems
Deep understanding of macOS frameworks and development tools (e.g. Xcode Instruments)
Strong knowledge of OOP principles design patterns and software architecture
Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering projects with high quality and on schedule
Proven experience mentoring or training junior developers
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Strong awareness of code quality security scalability and performance best practices
Agile mindset and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
NicetoHave:
Experience with React Native or other hybrid development environments
Familiarity with .NET technologies
Strong knowledge of macOS application performance security and scalability best practices
