Job Description

We are looking for a highperforming and enthusiastic SeniorData Scientist (Internal job title: Senior Data Science and Engineering Specialist) who will be handson building Data Science solutions and developing products from concept to production across all areas of Air New Zealand. You will be part of our Data Science team which has developed a strong resultsoriented reputation across our business. This is a perfect opportunity for someone passionate about AI who wants to come and help drive exciting change at the airline.
We are looking for people that will bring:
- A highly motivated selfstarter proactive attitude that thrives working in a collaborative team environment.
- The ability to lead the analysis design and deployment of new Data Science initiatives.
- A curious attitude comfortable dealing with problems that are not always well specified or understood and data that is sometimes incomplete and inaccurate.
- Confidence and experienceapplying Data Science to help solve business challenges.
Key skills and experience required for this role:
- 5 years experience as a Data Scientist in a relevant field.
- Strong foundation of Python skills.
- Experience developing solutions within a Cloud Environment.
- A solid understanding of the mathematical principles behind Data Science principles.
- Practical experience delivering valuable Data Science projects within an enterprise environment.
