The Team Leader Facility Partnerships and Activation is responsible for providing opportunities for community connection and participation through the provision of high quality and responsive Community Centres
What youll be doing:
- Coordinate implementation of Capital Works program for Community Centre buildings including the preparation of business case proposals as required.
- Manage the development monitoring compliance and review of all facility licences and hire agreements.
- Facilitate the delivery of suitable services programs and activities across Community Centres and Venues that help build community capacity and contribute to social inclusion.
- Coordinate the planning development and implementation of an annual program of events and activities within the Community Centres and Venues in response to identified need.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of Community Centre Strategic and Operational Plans to deliver a consistent high quality accessible facility and programs and services that meet the priorities of the local community.
- Identify and promote appropriate opportunities to residents business and community organisations that support the ongoing development of local Community Centres.
- Establish strong partnerships with key stakeholders including community and business organisations other government and nongovernment agencies and schools to develop implement and support the delivery of Community Centre and Venue activities.
- Guided by Councils core values lead and provide daytoday management of the Community Centres team to deliver Council Plan and relevant strategy and action plan outcomes.
The skills and experience youll bring to the role:
- Tertiary qualifications in Community Development Recreation or similar field or lesser formal qualifications with extensive experience and knowledge of the planning and management of community facilities and community capacity building principles and practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in Community Centre programming promotion planning strategy and policy development in a Local Government setting with a focus on social inclusion and community capacity building.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently lead motivate and develop staff and to draw people together with a shared vision.
- Ability to develop and manage effective partnerships with community organisations and key stakeholders and highly developed skills in relationship building persuasion and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of budgeting and relevant accounting and financial procedures.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage promote and market community facilities and associated services/programs.
- Excellent written and presentation skills and experience in the preparation of timely clear and concise reports project briefs and correspondence.
- Current Drivers Licence.
