Job Description

As a Housekeeper you will clean and inspect rooms and halls in commercial establishments such as hotels and timeshare units and restaurants by performing the following duties.

  • Must consistently meet quality and timeliness standards in the cleaning of all assigned rooms.
  • Strip units and remove all trash
  • Clean units including but not limited to bathrooms kitchens living rooms closets decks
  • Bathrooms Clean bathtub toilet sink walls mirrors tiles counters and floor surfaces using cloths mops sponges brushes
  • Bedrooms Strip and make beds change bed linens which may require lifting of all soiled linen
  • Report damaged dirty or stained carpets drapes furniture and linens
  • Consistently maintain unit inspection score of 80% or above as dictated by established by the resort
  • Ensures proper use of all equipment and supplies following established procedures
  • Immediately reports Lost & Found items following established procedures
  • Work in a team environment and assist with other duties as necessary
  • Ensure all inventory is in each unit
  • Replenishes houseware supplies as needed
  • Washes walls ceiling and woodwork
  • Cleans entire unit inside and outside
  • Empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays
  • Assists in the training of fellow employees as it pertains to their area
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications :

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skills and/or ability required.   • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
  • Ability to manage time and complete tasks efficiently
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment
  • Good physical stamina; able to lift bend and stand for long periods
  • Follows safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Friendly professional and respectful with guests and team members
  • Understands and respects guest privacy and property
  • Must be able to regularly lift pull push and or/move up to 35 pounds. 
  • Able to communicate basic information clearly
