To achieve this Syngentas Crop Protection Human Resources Team is looking for a Senior Payroll Analyst in Greensboro NC to aid in the processing of biweekly and monthly payrolls. This role involves ensuring all tax obligations are met and that tax reporting is completed promptly and accurately. Additionally it is essential to ensure all employees are paid accurately timely and according to current pay practices and legislationand Support Payroll improvement and strategic projects.
Accountabilities:
- Responsible for supporting the timely and accurate administration of biweekly and monthly US company payroll processing.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) accountable for the endtoend US payroll processing management.
- Liaise with multiple vendors including Dayforce Payroll/WFM Dayforce Tax Services the Dayforce Garnishment team and CapGemini via multiple ticketing platforms to ensure accurate data processing and issue resolution.
- Prepare reconcile and facilitate postprocess reporting in support of Finance and Total Rewards (payroll funding GL HSA/FSA Credit Union Union Dues United Way and PAC) including retirement funding for the US and Puerto Rico via our retirement vendors.
- Manage employee manager and HRBP inquiries through payroll knowledge and superior customer service.
- Exhibit leadership traits through collaboration decision making and teamwork.
- Responsible for ensuring that all tax obligations are met and all tax reporting is filed timely and accurately by working with Dayforce Tax team to file and communicate with various federal state and local tax agencies.
- Review analyze communicate and track all tax notices in coordination with the payroll provider tax team.
- Apply for tax authority IDs and communicate them to the payroll provider tax team.
- Responsible for quarterly and annual payroll reconciliations including employee W2s.
- Provide instructions to the payroll provider for employee tax adjustments and request amended tax returns/W2Cs as needed.
- Administer the request for pay corrections with the payroll provider to adjust the pay history including entries due to overpayment incorrect taxation due to resident/work location etc.
- Ensure timely preparation of payment/reporting for various state agencies not supported by the payroll provider.
- Serve as a knowledge resource for payroll team members.
- Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and explore implementation to optimize efficiency accuracy and employee experience.
- Prepare ondemand ad hoc reports for Corporate Tax various state/local tax agencies and attorneys as needed.
- Support analysis of payroll accounting issues using payroll data and General Ledger systems.
- Administer payroll provider WFM timekeeping platform for all nonexempt employees including accurate timecard reporting approving and committing for payroll processing corrections employee/manager training access issues vacation accruals annual holiday updates etc.
- Manage multiple complex pay and entitlement policy configurations including collaboration with site leaders HRBP and Dayforce.
- Analyze audits and address results related to employee tax withholding to ensure withholding accuracy.
- Advise and support NA Payroll and NA HR Operations projects as needed.
- Manage offcycle processing to minimize costs through coordination with Payroll Team and strategic planning.
- Manage employee garnishments wage attachments and child support orders in coordination with the payroll provider Garnishment team.
- Complete garnishing agency interrogatories and wage verifications as needed.
- Create and maintain local work instructions and job aids for various processes.
- Backup and crosstrain with NA Payroll Team members as needed.
- Lead payroll improvement and strategic process implementation supporting Payroll strategic ambition.
Qualifications :
Required:
- 5 years of experience in fullcycle multistate payroll processing
- CCP certification is a plus
- Experience with payroll tax returns tax deposits W2 preparation etc. required
- Must have indepth working knowledge of federal state and local payroll practices/regulations
- Experience with multiple payroll platforms SAP/Globalview/Dayforce/Workday
- Advanced MS Office/Excel skills required including pivot tables vlookups etc
- Experience in continuous process improvement methodologies and project implementations
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment
- Team player/cando attitude needed
- Leadership experience
