Residency Requirement:
This posting is open to current and noncurrent residents of the State of Colorado at the time of submitting your application. However if you are selected and accept the position you will be required to establish residence in the State of Colorado.
An applicant may meet the minimum qualifications for this job in one of two ways: They may qualify through their work experience alone or through a combination of education and work experience
Current enrollment as an Engineer Intern by the Colorado State Board of Licensure for Architects Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors
Current valid licensure as a Professional Engineer from the Colorado State Board of Licensure for Architects Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors will substitute for the enrollment as an Engineer Intern
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
In addition to the minimum requirements the successful candidate in this position will have the following experience:
At least one year experience working in an air quality role
At least one year preferably 23 years of experience working with air quality emission inventories
At least one year of experience preferably 23 years working with air quality construction permits and/or operating permits
Working knowledge of the Clean Air Act and at least one year of experience working with federal air quality regulations
Prior experience working with & understanding Colorado air quality regulations
Working knowledge of engineering processes and industrial equipment particularly as it relates to air quality
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
A preemployment background check will be conducted as part of the selection process.

TRAVEL: Up to two (2) times per month generally with a group for trainings or with another ACPD inspector/staff member. Some outside trainings or site visits may be too far for a day trip thus overnights may be required as needed.
