This position also supports the initiatives of UpSkill Houston which seeks to connect education and business at scale so that people are engaged in pathways into jobs that pay family sustaining wages

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Inclusive Leadership & Opportunity Operations Manager is a primary point of contact and is responsible for planning overseeing and executing major activities and projects for One Houston Together and providing support for UpSkill Houston. This position works closely with and has primary accountability to the SVP Inclusive Leadership and Opportunity and has adjacent responsibility to the SVP Regional Workforce Development.
The following responsibilities are essential to job performance:
Project Management
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of One Houston Together Talent and Inclusive Sourcing Roundtables industry working groups and convenings and UpSkill Houston Committee meetings and events including Cvent registration page Basecamp catering and facility requests.
- Oversee administration of Houston Regional Assessment across 12county region to include participant recruitment scorecard preparation and distribution and coordinating with external consultants.
- Oversee production of Business Economic Impact Analysis generated every 23 years to include coordinating with external project partner internal timeline coordination and production.
- For all projects the Operations Manager will:
- Help develop comprehensive project plans and oversee the initiation prioritization and scheduling.
- Manage projects from initiation through completion identifying tasks that need to be completed or delegated.
- Provide ongoing updates as work progresses and recommend changes as needed to ensure goals are met with quality and timely completion.
- Team with SVP Inclusive Leadership and Opportunity and SVP Regional Workforce Development and Partnership staff to identify opportunities to increase impact and achieve goals.
- Serve as the liaison between One Houston Together and internal Partnership divisions and external partners.
Communications
- Record and synthesize meeting notes and help develop corresponding goals and action plans.
- Create presentations pre and postreads and event recaps.
- Create project pages in Basecamp to assist with project implementation.
Administration
- Provide administrative support to SVP Inclusive Leadership and Opportunity and SVP Regional Workforce Development to include calendar scheduling and responding to external requests for presentations.
- Create and update calendar invites for external audiences.
- Maintain and edit One Houston Together standard operating procedures.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
The following knowledge skills and abilities are desirable for job success:
- Advanced knowledge and experience in presentation design problem solving and project management including managing highvalue projects with varying levels of complexity
- Experience developing and managing projects from concept to completion with demonstrated success delivering projects on time and within budget and scope
- Strong written and oral communication skills are essential
- Experienced organizer and planner with keen attention to detail and the capacity to course correct
- Have good judgment and be selfdirected and comfortable making decisions
- Experience working with and supporting seniorlevel leaders
- Advanced proficiency with computer software applications to include Basecamp Salesforce Marketing Cloud Zoom and Microsoft Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint and Teams
Education and Experience Requirements
- Minimum 6 years relevant work experience in project management and/or operations management
OR - 4 years of experience plus professional certifications apprenticeships and industryspecific training and may include certifications in project management or other relevant fields
- While an associates or bachelors degree is a plus demonstrated experience certifications and relevant credentials will be given equal consideration.
Required Experience
Minimum of 23 years of administrative office clerical or related experience desired.
Physical Requirements
- Good vision and hearing acuity (with adaptive aids if necessary).
- Manual dexterity and skillful use of computer keyboard.
- Physical exertion includes bending pushing standing and walking. Must be able to move or lift approximately 25 pounds on occasion.
Mental and Aptitude Requirements
- Job requires the ability to hear see and talk; analytical conceptual problemsolving planning and decisionmaking skills.
