Occupational Health Nurse - Flex

In this position...

• Flex Nurses will rotate between defined facilities to ensure optimal coverage to meet patient healthcare needs.
• Flex Nurses will be dedicated to one site daily supporting Michigan Assembly Pant Rawsonville Components Plant and Livonia Transmission Plant all within 23 miles of each other. Candidate must demonstrate flexibility to adapt to various work sites with a schedule that adjusts based on work requirements.
• Involves frequent lifting of 10 to 25 pounds requiring walking standing and some sedentary work in conditions with moderate noise levels and exposure to varying temperatures.

This is a unionrepresented position. Overtime may be required both during the workweek and on weekends and is scheduled and paid in compliance with contractual and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requirements.

What youll do...

• Provide health services and administer surveillance evaluations to company employees recording observations assessments and treatments in accordance with company policy.
• Perform routine nursing tasks associated with medical screenings tests and clinical procedures. Collect appropriates samples and specimens from patients and perform hearing and vision screening following clinical protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals behaviors and assists in medical emergencies that may occur on company premises such as accidents injuries sudden illnesses etc. Follow established policies and procedures identify roadblocks and effectively communicate issues to the medical teams attention.
• Provide patientcentered care with empathy kindness and professionalism. Communicate health screening results communicate physical rehabilitation programs information to patients requiring treatment and assist with medication administration while managing medication protocols.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records ensuring compliance with regulatory developments and infection control protocols.
• Support emergency procedures preparation and adherence to infection control practices.
• Maintain an understanding of all relevant regulatory developments defining patient privacy and medical record confidentiality infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infectious diseases accreditation Standards etc.

Youll have...

• Associates degree in nursing
• 2 years of experience in areas such as clinical occupational health nursing urgent care critical care emergency room or adult medical/surgical nursing
• BLS Certification Required
• Registered Nurse
• Unrestricted state licensure in the state of practice

• Bachelors degree in nursing
• Certified Occupational Health Nurse preferred
